15th Annual Butte Bouldering Bash
Year 15 — what a milestone!
Read below or at Montana Bouldering.com
This year brought together more than 130 climbers and community members, making it our biggest event yet.
We’re so grateful to everyone who made it possible — from the participants who came out to climb, to the sponsors who lent their support, and the incredible volunteers who kept everything running. It’s inspiring to see the community rally around a great local cause like the Southwest Montana Climbers Coalition, and this year was proof of just how strong that support can be.
The morning was all about reconnecting with old friends, meeting new faces, and exploring the awesome pop-up shops from Mio Mi and Lolo Hardware. Volunteers helped answer questions and get folks oriented with the surrounding bouldering areas — all while everyone fueled up with plenty of calories for the climbs ahead!

With safety covered, rules explained, and gratitude shared, the crowd of 130+ climbers poured into the forest — ready to climb, explore, and send!
Back at the lot, the day wrapped up with pulled pork, celebrations, awards, and an incredible raffle. Huge thanks to Corey Persol for putting so much heart (and flavor!) into the food this year. As with any event of this size, not everything was perfect — we did have one hiccup with a misplaced scorecard, which was frustrating for those involved — but it inspires us to keep learning and improving so each year can be even better than the last.
